Shopify and WooCommerce both run excellent shops; which one is right depends on yours. Shopify handles hosting, security and payments for a monthly fee and is hard to beat for straightforward product catalogues. WooCommerce runs on your own hosting, costs nothing in platform fees, and can be bent to fit unusual products, bookings or wholesale pricing. We'll recommend one based on what you sell, how you work and what it costs you to run each month — not on what's easiest for us to build.

Designed to convert, not just to look good

Most online shops don't lose sales on the homepage — they lose them at the product page and the checkout. So that's where we spend the design effort: product photography given room to sell, sizes and options that make sense on a phone, delivery costs shown before the checkout rather than sprung inside it, and guest checkout so nobody abandons a full basket over creating an account.

Speed matters double in e-commerce. Every extra second of load time costs conversions, and shoppers on a phone won't wait. Our shops are built lean and measured against real mobile connections, not office broadband.

Payments, delivery and VAT handled properly

The unglamorous plumbing is where shops go wrong, so we set it up carefully: card payments through Stripe or your platform's native gateway, delivery zones and rates that match how you actually ship, and VAT configured correctly for Irish and EU orders. You get a shop that's ready to trade, not a design that still needs a technical person to finish it.

You shouldn't need us to add a product or change a price. Before launch we'll walk you through managing orders, stock and content, so the day-to-day running of the shop is yours. And if you'd rather never think about updates, backups or security again, our maintenance plans cover e-commerce sites too.

Already selling on a marketplace or an older platform? We handle migrations as well — products, images, customer accounts and order history moved across, and your existing product page URLs redirected properly so the search rankings your shop has earned come with it rather than resetting to zero.
